Souls and Suicide

I just read a comment on someone's blog in which the writer said she/he would not commit suicide 'because I now realise I would never see my loved ones again'. What a horrifically cruel idea. It actually seems, from the work of Michael Newton and other between-life regression therapists, that although suicide is not considered a great idea,it is not a sin with punishments. If life throws you a dreadful lesson, and one way out is to cut short that life, it is likely that you will 'have to' (there is never any compulsion)take another life with a similar challenge. There is absolutely no suggestion that a soul is punished for opting out, and it will be welcomed home as normal, and can spend any necessary time with friends and family.
